It is the intent of Union County Public Schools to select multiple firms, as a result of this RFQ, that are currently licensed in the State of North Carolina to perform commissioning services. The initial term of the Master Agreement for On-Call Professional Services will be two (2) years with an option to extend by one (1) year at the sole discretion of Union County Public Schools. A Master Agreement for On-Call Commissioning Services (see Appendix A) for a draft copy of the Master Agreement will be the basis of the contract with each Notice to Proceed issued by Union County Public School in relation to this RFQ. The Master Agreement does not guarantee work to the selected firm; nor does it deny Union County Public Schools the right to perform additional RFQ process for Commissioning Services Commissioning Services for Mechanical Systems include, but is not limited to, building automation systems, testing of systems, chilled water systems, boiler systems, central utility plants, water source heat pumps, heat recovery systems, humidification/dehumidification, air handling units, terminal units, exhaust fans, air/water balance, unit heaters/ventilators and water conservation devices/fixtures. Firm may be required to prepare checklists/procedures in design phase and construction phase; witness startups, pipe tests, ductwork tests; report deficiencies found; perform functional and performance testing, verify controls (i.e. BAS) is correctly mapped and setup in UCPS automation system, review O&M documentation and verify trends during the warranty period. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
