Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Guntersville, Alabama. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
A certified check or bank draft, payable to Marshall County Commission, U.S. Government bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent of the bid, but not to exceed $10,000, shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price. The Surety Shall Be Acceptable to the County and Shall Be Currently Listed as an Approved Surety in the U.s. Treasury Department Circular Number 570 to Act as Surety on Bonds. Contractor shall be licensed in accordance with the State Laws. Proof of licensure will be required on the outside of the Bid Envelope before bid will be considered. Subcontractors whose contracts exceed $50,000.00, must also be licensed according to the State of Alabama Law and show proof thereof. The Owner is a tax free organization. With this project, contractor is to bid the project without taxes on materials. The successful bidder will be given forms to purchase materials tax free for this project. The Marshall County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bid may be held by The County for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing them and investigating the qualifications of the bidders, prior to awarding the contract. Any successful bidder who withdraws their bid for any reason within the 60 day period may forfeit the bid bond. Other sets for general contractors and sets for subcontractors and dealers may be obtained with the same deposit, which will be refunded as above, less cost of printing.
