Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Sigourney, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The project includes the removal of the existing gabion and concrete structure and replacing it with a concrete drop spillway structure. The work under the proposed Contract shall commence upon issuance of the written Notice to Proceed. The proposed wetland improvements listed shall be fully completed on or before August 25, 2023. The Bidder agrees to pay as liquidated damages the sum of $500 for each consecutive calendar day after the specified completion date that the project is not fully completed. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Code of Iowa. Bid security shall be 10% of the bid amount. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the State of Iowa, and to Iowa domestic labor, to the extent lawfully required under Iowa statutes. Iowa sales tax will not be paid on materials purchased for this project. The Owner will issue a sales tax exemption certificate.
