Seeking qualified bidder with ten years' experience in aircraft restorations to restore and paint a historic aircraft (S-3B Viking) located on the flight deck of the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier. Must have restored at least five aircraft in last three years. Must use historically accurate paint color and sheen. Currently, the Agency is seeking qualified restoration specialists to restore and paint a static historical aircraft that is displayed on the flight deck of the USS Yorktown. The aircraft is on loan from the United States Navy Historical Heritage Command, and must be painted in the historically accurate paint color and sheen. This agency intends to enter into an agreement with a qualified vendor to restore, paint, and bird-proof the static display aircraft located at Patriots Point, on the USS Yorktown. This is a non-personnel services contract to provide historical static aircraft painting services. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment and labor necessary to properly prepare and repaint a static display aircraft on the Flight Deck of the USS Yorktown. The static display applicable to this contract is the S-3B Viking. The contractor will paint aircraft in accordance with commercial practices and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The contractor will comply with all environmental codes and regulations while performing the services of this contract. Patriot's Point Development Authority reserves the right to seek termination should the terms of the signed agreement not be honored.
