Remodeling and renovation of a museum in Corinne, Utah. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 21,709-square-foot museum.

Work includes replacing 21,709 Sq. Ft. single-ply roofing system and built up roofing systems, decking, insulation and accessories at the Administration/Museum building. The work will remove single ply roofing system and built-up roofing along with trim, flashing, decking, insulation and roof accessories. Work Covered by the Contract Documents: The Work includes replacing the approximate 21,709 Sq. Ft. single-ply roofing system and built up roofing systems, decking, insulation and accessories at the Administration/ Museum building. The Administration/ Museum building, built in 1959, in a quintessential example of Mission 66 construction. The building houses approx. 230 staff members as well as conference rooms. In addition, the former Visitor Center portion of the building welcomes close to a million visitors yearly. The roof was last replaced in 2000 and has exceeded its life span. Emergency repairs have been made of the years in various areas. However, the roof has numerous pin-point holes, doesn't drain properly and is holding water under the membrane due to holes from additional damage. Prior to any demolition, the existing roofing materials and systems will be tested for asbestos containing building material. Any ACBM found to be present will be removed per statue of Utah requirements before main roof demolition. The work will remove single ply roofing system and built-up roofing along with trim, flashing, decking, insulation and roof accessories. Two large skylights will also be removed. A new single ply roofing system will be installed at existing membrane roof and new built-up roofing system will be installed at existing BUR locations (see drawings) along with decking, insulation, flashing, accessories and skylights.
