Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to install two (2) ADA paths of travel from the parking garage to the pool and North of the existing tennis courts. Questions Due Date: Aug 30th 2022, 2:00 PM PDT Description of Work: This project consists of the installation of (2) new ADA paths of travel. One from the existing parking garage to the existing pool and the other north of the existing tennis courts located at Sierra Joint Community College District, Rocklin Campus (District). Bid Bond - A bid guarantee in the amount of 10% of the bid must accompany the bid. Bid Security can be provided in the form of certified or cashiers check or bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price. Failure to furnish bid guarantee in the proper form and amount, by the time set for opening the bids, may be cause for rejection of the bid. Payment & Performance Bonds: The contractor awarded the project will be required to provide a 100% payment bond and 100% performance bond BEFORE work can begin. Prevailing Wage Laws: This project is subject to prevailing wage provisions of the Labor Code Article 2. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)]. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 Should the work contracted for under this agreement not be completed within the contract period plus, if any, authorized extension of time, there will be deducted from any money due or that may become due the Contractor under the contract the sum of $500.00 per day as liquidated damages and not as a penalty, for each calendar day delay after the expiration of said time until the substantial completion of said work. Substantial Completion shall be achieved when the work shown in the construction documents is complete and the stadium lighting is operational. Substantial Completion shall be achieved within 37 calendar days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. Substantial completion of work must be achieved by November 18, 2022.
