The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to solicit competitive proposals from qualified general construction companies for: Ogden School DistrictOgden High School Baseball Field Renovation 2828 Harrison Blvd, Ogden, UT 84403 A. Bid Bond Contractors are required to submit with their proposal a certified/ cashiers check or bid bond of not less than 5% of their proposal amount payable to the order of the Ogden School District Board of Education. The check or bid bond of the accepted contractor shall be forfeited in case the contractor fails or refuses to enter into a contract or furnish a performance bond and material and labor payment bond in the amount of 100% of the proposal amount as required by Ogden School District. B. Contractors License A copy of the Contractors Utah license shall also be part of this RFP submittal. The successful contractor shall be required to execute AIA Contract Document A101-2007 with all Terms and Conditions contained therein Contract Period This agreement shall commence on the date the contract is fully executed by the parties and shall continue for one (1) year beyond substantial completion. Construction time period is noted in the construction documents. All questions regarding the Bid Documents or Proposed Substitutions must be submitted through electronically The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or to waive any non-statutory informality. The Board of Education further reserves the right to make the contract award deemed by the Director of Purchasing and the selection committee to be in the best interest of the District. The Boards decision to accept or reject the contract shall be final. An official of the general construction company authorized to bind the company must sign proposals and proposal must be firm for a period of sixty (60) days from the due date. The General Contractor will be required to visit the site one year after Substantial Completion with the assigned representative of the District and the Architect to review warranty issues. A Warranty Punch List will be issued and the General Contractor will be responsible to complete these warranty items. Additional inspections will take place as required to satisfactorily complete warrantee punch list items.
