The City of Riverside ("City") is seeking a qualified entity or individual ("Proposer" or "Design- Build Entity") to provide design-build services for the Bordwell Park Gymnasium ("Project"), to be located at Bordwell Park, 2008 Martin Luther King Boulevard, Riverside, California. Design and construction services for the project include but are not limited to architectural, electrical, lighting, mechanical, civil, and structural engineering. The Design-Build Entity will act as the project designer and contractor responsible for preparing, securing and providing approved engineered improvement plans, building permits, construction specifications, construction documents, construction services, construction observation and all other services needed to design and construct a roughly 10,000 square foot stand-alone gymnasium (detached from the community center) to include restrooms appropriately sized to serve the gymnasium, roughly 700 sq. ft. storage area, staff offices, and a concession room/area to serve warmed and opened foods (no grilled or fried foods). The Design-Build Entity shall submit their recommended construction method and materials, including but not limited to tilt-up, pre-engineered metal structure, CMU block construction, etc., to meet the available budget and timeline. The project must be completed by January 31, 2026 due to grant deadlines. See Exhibit A-2 "Scope of Services" for more information. The Design-Build Entity shall design the entirety of the project, prepare construction plans, specifications and construct the Project using the Performance Criteria and Technical Specifications herein, and as described elsewhere within this Request for Proposal ("RFP").
