Bids are invited for the 2022 Post Oak Savannah Grant CR 304 8" Water Line Project as described in the specifications, including new water lines, tie-ins, boring, meters, and associated appurtenances. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid, issued by an acceptable surety, shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Southwest Milam Water Supply Corporation or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined Department of Labor prevailing wage rates for Milam County, Texas contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin. The Corporation reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Corporation for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Project shall be completed by April 28, 2023. Basis of award will be to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who provides goods or services using the following criteria: o the proposal price; o the historical quality of the bidder's goods or services; and o the bidder's past responsible performance, safety and working relationship with the corporation and other entities.
