Procure and install a prefabricated duplex submersible lift station, including internal pumps, accessory equipment, piping, wiring, valves, instruments, supports, brackets, ancillary items, and a fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) wet well. Anchor the wet well to a reinforced concrete base as shown on Drawings. Procure and install a prefabricated FRP valve vault, including all valves, piping, supports, wiring, and access hatch that is pedestrian rated and adequately supported. Install new gravity sewer piping and manholes. Demolish and/or abandon in place existing yard piping, manholes, and pump station. Provide continuous bypass pumping for the duration of the project until the new pump station is brought online. Liquidated Damages: $1,000.00 - per day Construction Days: 240 calendar days A CERTIFIED CHECK or an acceptable bid bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid shall accompany each bid as a guaranty that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into contract with the City of Rockdale, and furnish bonds on the forms provided. THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER OR BIDDERS will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and Maintenance Bond as stipulated in the specifications. NO BID may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) calendar days. THE CITY reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, waive any and/or all formalities, and award the bid as it appears most beneficial to the City.
