The Project consists of the reconstruction of and improvements to Rambo Street (Ford St. to Mill St.), Coates Street (Holstein St. to Fraley St.), Prospect Street (4th St. to Fraley St.), Fraley Street (4th St. to Hurst St.), 3rd Street (Mill St. to Green St.), Holstein Street (4th St. to Hurst St.), Front Street (Depot St. to DeKalb St.), 2nd Street (Depot St. to DeKalb St.), 6th Street (DeKalb St. to Transfer Station), 9th Street (DeKalb St. to Merion St.), Green Street (4th St. to York Alley), Merion Street (5th St. to 9th St.), Cherry Alley (Front St. to 2nd St.), Elm Alley (Ford St. to Green St.), Greenfield Alley (Hurst St. to Grove St.), Front Street (Ford St. to Vine St.), Vine Street (4th St. to Front St.), Mill Street (5th St. to Rambo St.), 5th Street (Green St. to DeKalb St.), Bridgeport Sewer Plant Parking Lot and 9th Street (Green St. to Ford St.) and involving reconstruction of identified inlets and ADA ramps as well as milling and overlaying of the roadways.his project is financed in part by Montgomery County through a Community Development Block Grant. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid Bond in an amount not less than 10 percent of the Bid total, payable to the Owner in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. This Contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, which provides that training, employment and other economic opportunities generated by HUD assistance or HUD-assisted projects covered by section 3, shall, to the greatest extent feasible, be directed to low- and very low-income persons, particularly persons who are recipients of HUD assistance for housing. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Project Number 066694.027 Laws and regulations applicable to this Contract include the following: aEURc U.S. Department of Labor Federal Wage Determination Decision as included in the Contract Documents aEURc Executive Order 11246, entitled aEURoeEqual Employment Opportunity,aEUR as amended by Executive Order 11375, and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulation (41 CFR Part 60) The successful bidder will be required to provide performance bonds and payment in the amount of 100% of the successful bid amount. All contractors on this Project are required to ensure that employees and applicants will not be discriminated against because of race, creed, color, religion, sex, age, handicap, marital status or national origins; and, that the statutes and regulations of federal and state law regarding non-discrimination are met.The Owner reserves the right, at its option, to waive as an informality any, defects, errors, or omissions in any or all Bids; and to reject any or all Bids CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 9/16/2022 4:00 PM Substantial Completion as per the Contract Documents is 45 days from the Notice to Proceed with Final Completion to be 30 days after
