Project Name: Missouri Ave Active Transportation Improvements (ATI) Project (TRACS) Number: T0372 03D District: Central Route/MP: Missouri Ave Eastward; 55th Ave to 51st Ave Funding Source: CMAQ; Local Construction Funding FY: FY 2025 The Missouri Ave Active Transportation Improvements (ATI) project will address pedestrian and bicycle facility needs in a 0.4 square mile area in the vicinity of Missouri Ave and Bethany Home Rd. Proposed improvements will involve two collector streets (Missouri and 55th Avenues), and three local streets (San Miguel, Montebello, and 57th Avenues). Four of these streets are missing sections of sidewalk, resulting in gaps in the sidewalk network. This project will construct 2.2 miles of new concrete sidewalk to close those gaps. ADA compliant sidewalk ramps are proposed at intersections and driveway locations, and substandard pedestrian crossing equipment (pedestrian crossing push buttons, for example) at signalized intersections will be upgraded to ADA standards. The project will also add bike lanes along Missouri Ave from 51st to 59th Avenues (one mile in length), and along 57th Ave between Bethany Home Rd and Missouri Ave (0.5 miles in length). In addition, 55th Ave between Missouri Ave and Bethany Home Rd will be painted with shared lane markings (aka sharrows) to indicate that automobiles and bicyclists share the road. The consultant shall provide a bid package which includes plans, specifications and estimates for construction. The design consultant shall also provide necessary project management tasks including coordination, meetings, project schedule updates and comment responses. Document retention, project schedule, and risk register updates within the Workfront platform will be required. There will be no Pre-Submittal Meeting associated with this solicitation. Questions, in writing, shall be received by ECS at the below email address until 3 BUSINESS DAYS BEFORE SOI DUE DATE at 2:00 P.M. (Arizona Time). No further questions shall be accepted after the time specified. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
