Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Madisonville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the construction of a 2,400-square-foot fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
The City is utilizing city employees to do some of this work This project consists of constructing a 40 ft x 60 ft building at the Madisonville Fire Station located at 5000 Hanson Road in Madisonville KY. Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond on the form contained in the proposal. This bond must be from a Surety Company acceptable to the City of Madisonville. Alternatively, bidders may provide a cashies check or certified check made payable to the City of Madisonville, for not less than 5 percent of the total amount of the bid. Envelopes containing proposals must be sealed and addressed to: Kim Blue, City Clerk, City of Madisonville, P.O. Box 705, 67 North Main Street, Madisonville, Kentucky 42431, and marked for which project the proposal pertains. The Contractors name, classification, address, date and time of the bid opening shall be indicated on the envelope. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 120 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Attention is called to the fact that the Contractors must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, creed, color, religion, national origin, and sex or handicap status.
