the Township envisions a complete project which includes, but is not limited to, the following: Furnish all equipment, labor, and material to install a new reinforced concrete deck and associate curb as shown on the attached US Bridge Plans. Install bridge barrier, provided by Township. Any quantities provided are estimated and for information only. Construction of an 8" reinforced concrete bridge deck and associated parapet. Award for the Contract may be made by the Board of Supervisors to the lowest responsible bidder as determined by the Board at their regularly scheduled meeting, Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. All proposals must be submitted electronically through portal on PennDOT bid documents which will be supplied by the Township, and each proposal must be accompanied by security as outlined in the bid documents. Bidders are advised that this Project is considered to be "construction" as defined by the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Law, Act 442 of 1961, as amended, and is subject to Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage. Bids will remain subject to acceptance for the period of 90 days, but the Township may, in its sole discretion, release any bid and return the bid security prior to the end of this period. Questions regarding these bidding document shall be submitted in writing via PennBID; verbal requests will not be accepted. Requests for information may be made, no later than 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 1, 2022, Responses to any and all questions will be made at the discretion of the Township by the Township Staff to all interested bidders in writing, via PennBID, upon receipt of all requests prior 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
