Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Six Mile, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of February 7, 2024, per owner, bidding is complete and project awarded. They are not permitted to release the design team chosen. The PRJWS is proposing a new 10 MGD facility with the capacity to high rate the filtration and pumping to 15 MGD with minimal construction. The Raw Water Pumping Station would be initially constructed to pump and convey 10 MGD with expansion for Raw Water Storage in the future. The raw water line would be constructed to convey 10 MGD from the raw water intake to the water treatment plant. The new WTP shall include all necessary physiochemical processes to provide high quality potable water, meeting primary drinking water standards and all regulations set forth by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC). Currently this project will be funded by the United Stated Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the South Carolina Infrastructure Investment Program (SCIIP).
