Saving Project...

Renovation of an educational facility in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 125-square-foot, one-story above grade, one-room educational facility.

In general the work consists of: selective demolition, cutting and patching of existing concrete slab, and new CMU walls to create a new 120-sq.ft. enclosure out of an existing storage room. The new ADA-compliant space will comprise single-user toilet facilities, locker space, and a roll36 in shower stall. Floor and wall-base will be thin-set ceramic tile and the shower compartment will have full-height ceramic tile walls. CMU walls and exposed existing concrete plank ceiling will be painted with epoxy paint. The single door will be aluminum/FRP hybrid in an aluminum frame with ADA-accessible key-pad hardware. The space will include plumbing fixtures, metal athletic lockers, ADA bench, and toilet accessories. Cutting and patching of an adjacent existing ceramic-tiled Men's Shower Room will be required for plumbing connections. Temporary partitions will be necessary to keep existing shower room operational during construction. The project includes adding new wall hung ADA water closet, wall hung lavatory, shower valve and floor drains, and the new plumbing piping systems shall connect to nearby existing plumbing piping systems. The Roof mounted exhaust fan that is exhausting this area shall be changed from manual on/off control to Automatic control through existing Johnson Controls BAS / DDC. The project includes existing Johnson Controls extended to existing fan for automatic control of fan and fan damper based on occupancy schedule. There is also a pitched steam condensate return line that is too low for the entry door into the new space, so the line is to be re-routed to avoid conflict and preserve pitch to the mechanical room. Contractor is to provide demolition of existing electrical devices and provide new lighting fixtures and controls, new general convenience receptacles, new connection to relocated plumbing equipment, and new fire alarm devices associated with the renovation. The new circuits are to be connected to existing circuits or new circuit breakers in existing panelboards. The new fire alarm devices are to be connected to the existing fire alarm control panel. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's 32 prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements. Due to a health emergency the Owner is requiring bids be submitted digitally only.
