The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written as described in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. In accordance with La. R.S. 38:2212(B)(1), the provisions and requirements of this Section and those stated in the bidding documents shall not be waived by any entity. When this project is financed either partially or entirely with State Bonds or financed in whole or in part by federal or other funds which are not readily available at the time bids are received, the award of this Contract is contingent upon the granting of lines of credit, or the sale of bonds by the Bond Commission or the availability of federal or other funds. The State shall incur no obligation to the Contractor until the Contract Between Owner and Contractor is fully executed. All bids shall be accompanied by bid security in an amount of five percent (5.0%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates. The form of this security shall be as stated in the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bid Documents for this project. BASE BID SCOPE 6. Complete demolition of the existing baseball field and associated components as indicated on demolition plans. 7. Construction of new synthetic turf baseball field with subsurface drainage system. New composite outfield wall and batter's eye. New field lighting, scoreboard and sound system. New sunken home and visitor dugouts. New grandstands with attached temporary press box by grandstand supplier. New restroom building and shell building for future team store and first aid station. New indoor practice facility. New asphalt parking lot and renovation to existing asphalt parking lot. 8. Construction of new subsurface utilities and subsurface drainage system. 9. Materials of dugouts include cast in place concrete foundations, painted CMU walls, steel framed roof structures, trench drain tied into subsurface drainage at each dugout. 10. Materials of new practice building include steel framed structure, metal stud framing, brick masonry veneer, glass overhead doors, prefinished sheet metal roofing, prefinished metal wall and soffit panels, gypsum board wall finishes, artificial turf carpet flooring. 11. Materials of new restroom building and shell building include CMU masonry walls, brick veneer, prefinished metal wall and soffit panels, SBS roofing, glazed aluminum storefront, epoxy flooring, suspended acoustical tile ceilings.
