Description

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Carrollton, Virginia. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The Nike Park Road Extension Project that is under design and being managed by VDOT will consist of constructing a new one-mile, two-lane collector roadway connection between Reynolds Drive to a new intersection location along US Route 17 (Carrollton Boulevard). The project will involve intersection improvements at the existing Reynolds Drive, as well as additional improvements at Route 17 that will include a signalized intersection and additional turn lanes. The project will also include the construction of a 10' wide multi-use path that will run parallel to the new facility. This project is to be fully funded through Smart Scale funding. Isle of Wight is collaborating with VDOT on right-of-way acquisition. Project is included Isle of Wight County Fiscal Year 2024-2033. As of July 11, 2024, project is under design and being managed by VDOT. Construction is to begin September 2024 and completed October 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
