Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Rockford, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The project consists of furnishing all material and constructing approximately: 1,700 feet of replacement 8-inch ductile iron water main, 3,300 feet of replacement 8-inch and 10-inch PVC sanitary sewer, 3,600 feet of 12-inch through 36-inch concrete storm sewer, 3,800 feet of street reconstruction with concrete curb and gutter, sidewalk, driveway aprons, subbase, aggregate base, HMA paving, pavement markings, traffic signs, and all necessary appurtenances and restoration. The work to be performed under this contract will be financed and paid for with local funds. Federal Davis Bacon wage rates no not apply to this contract. Electronic drawings, specifications and bidding documents will be accessible through the Prein&Newhof Plan Room only to active members. Bidder assumes sole risk for any project specifications and drawings, electronic or hard copy, obtained other than directly from Prein&Newhof. Contract documents may be examined electronically or at the office of Prein&Newhof, 3355 Evergreen Drive NE, Grand Rapids MI 49525 or some local plan rooms. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check payable to City of Rockford in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total price shall accompany each bid. This surety shall bind the bidder for a period of ninety (90) days after the receipt of bids. Construction is anticipated from approximately May through October, 2023.
