The Town of Rusk in Rusk County is requesting sealed bids for Phase One of rebuilding a half-mile portion of North Potato Lake Road, starting at the road's intersection with Deer Head Point Road and continuing south and west to terminus at the lake. All work to be done between Sept. 15th and Nov. 1st, 2022*. (Phase Two, paving the road segment, is anticipated for a future year.) Work to be done as Phase One: o Remove existing blacktop o Dig out and repair three, 30"-deep frost boil areas, replacing material with gravel and roller-packing NOTE: removed material may--at bidder's option--be moved to any of three nearby Town road right-of-ways. o Replace two 30" x 50' culverts near The Lured Inn o Replace one 15" x 30' culvert o Remove one buried metal culvert nearer to terminus NOTE: Town will supply new plastic culverts o Improve ditching along the segment o Add eight inches gravel the full half-mile, matching all driveway approaches All work areas are marked, except ditching near the terminus.
