As of 11/18/2022 No bids were received The Jefferson County Department of Health (JCDH) is seeking to obtain competitive prices for the purchase of Concrete Monitoring Buildings. This project will require the successful bidder to provide all labor and installation; materials and equipment to furnish, deliver and erect the concrete building as specified in this ITB. The successful bidder will be notified of bid award via Jefferson County Department of Health's Notice of Award letter and the approved Standard Addendum to Bid Agreement Contract. BID BOND A Bid Bond or cashier's check payable to the Jefferson County Department of Health, in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000 is required to accompany the bid response. The bid bond shall be in the form of a cashier's check drawn on an Alabama bank or an original bid bond executed by a surety company duly authorized and qualified to make such bonds in the State of Alabama, payable to the Jefferson County Department of Health. Bid bonds will be returned to all unsuccessful bidders after the formal award is made and to the successful bidder after acceptance of the award. Should the successful bidder fail to accept the award, the bid bond or check shall be forfeited. PERFORMANCE BOND For any bid of $20,000 or more, the successful bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall furnish at his expense an acceptable Performance Bond (Surety Bond) to the Jefferson County Department of Health, in the amount equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price as awarded. Bond shall be countersigned by the authorized agent resident in the state and shall attach thereto power of attorney of signing official. LABOR AND MATERIALS BOND For any bid of $20,000 or more, the successful bidder shall furnish at his expense an acceptable Payment of Labor, Materials, Foodstuffs and Supplies Bond (Surety Bond) to the Jefferson County Department of Health , in the amount not less than one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price, with the obligation that the Contractor shall promptly make payment to all persons furnishing him or them with labor, materials, foodstuffs, or supplies for, or in, the prosecution of the work, including the payment of the reasonable attorney's fees incurred by successful claimants or plaintiffs in suits on said bond. The date of neither bond shall be earlier than the date of the contract agreement. Jefferson County Department of Health (JCDH) expressly reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or parts of bids and to make the award all or none or per line item on the merit and/or feature of method and quality, delivery, and service availability as the best interest of the Jefferson County Department of Health appears.
