Saving Project...

Renovation of a municipal facility in Quincy, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The project includes select demolition of mechanical and electrical equipment; installing, anchoring and aligning a City-supplied split case centrifugal pump; furnishing and installing connecting piping; furnishing and installing electrical equipment including industrial panelboard, enclosed passive filtered variable frequency drive, wiring, conduit and appurtenances; and other miscellaneous construction items to make a complete and operational pumping system. All proposals shall be accompanied by either a bid bond on the "Proposal Bid" form contained in the proposal, executed by a corporate surety company satisfactory to the City of Quincy, or a bank cashier's check, or a properly certified check for not less than 5 percent of the amount bid, or for the amount listed in the specifications. The City of Quincy is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages minority group participation in the bidding and construction process. Bidders are notified that not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor shall be paid to all workers performing work under this contract. This contract contains the requirement that 50 percent of the workers on this project must be residents of Adams County, Illinois. No bid may be withdrawn after the time for opening of the bids is past. The City Council of Quincy reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technicalities.
