As of December 16, 2022, construction started the second week of December, 2022, and is expected to be completed by March 2023. No further inquiries to be accepted. The Project consists of the rehab/repair of 10 bridges which may include such work as furnishing and installing steel H piles, structural steel, rock blanket, sheet piling, as well as deck replacements and painting. Traffic control and related appurtenances work. Bids will be received for each bridge and contain both lump sum items and unit price work. The bid for each bridge will be considered on its own. The county intends to award the work to those responsible contractors submitting the lowest responsive bid for each bridge. A contractor submitting the lowest responsive bid for one bridge will be awarded a contract for that one bridge. A contractor submitting the lowest responsive bid for multiple bridges will be awarded a single contract for those multiple bridges. The County intends to award work up to a maximum amount they can afford,so depending on the bids, not all bridge bids may be awarded. Bidders are not required to submit a bid for every bridge in the project. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Forms. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidders date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Bid Documents can also be obtained in PDF form fromelectronically. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office and electronically. Bidders must obtain their bid documents from Howe Company, LLC or electronically and be on the plan holders list to bid the project.
