Renovation of a medical facility in Union City, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 8,300-square-foot medical facility.

The work shall consist of installation on the first floor building MEP including HVAC, plumbing and electrical improvements with a floor area of approximately 8,300 square feet. Furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project known as Vision Corner First Floor MEP Improvements. The Bids received will then be publicly opened and read aloud. The work for which proposals are invited shall consist of installation on the first-floor building MEP including HVAC, plumbing and electrical improvements with a floor area of approximately 8,300 square feet. The Owner and/or Engineer will not be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Engineer. Proposals will only be accepted from bidders who have purchased the Contract Documents from Mote & Associates, Inc. and are registered as a planholder. All bids shall be properly and completely executed on Form No. 96 as prescribed by the State Board of Accounts of the State of Indiana. All bids submitted shall be accompanied by an acceptable Bidder's Bond or Certified Check made payable to City of Union City in the amount of 10% of the total bid price. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory performance and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the bid, ten (10) days after the bid is awarded to that Bidder and prior to the Notice to Proceed with construction. Each Proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the Proposal and all persons interested therein. Each Bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity, and a complete list of all subcontractors to be used. The Owner intends and requires that the project be completed no later than January 20, 2023. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Additionally, attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the Contract Documents and on the plans, particularly to all applicable American Rescue Plan Fund (ARPA) requirements. Prevailing wage rates will not apply to this project. All contractors, suppliers and subcontractors shall demonstrate 5 years of progressive experience in work similar in nature to this project. The City of Union City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the bidding, and to enter into a contract with the bidder whom in their consideration offered the lowest and best proposal. An additional non-refundable handling charge of $15.00 will be required if documents are to be shipped. The Work consists of the following: 1. All mechanical, heating ventilation and air conditioning work, gas piping system, plumbing, plumbing fixtures, electrical, lighting and controls (MEP work) for completion of said work all to be performed under one MEP contract.
