The City of Frankfort is requesting qualifications from Consultants interested in performing the necessary tasks for independent geotechnical and construction materials sampling and testing services for the Downtown Transit Center and Parking Garage in the City of Frankfort, Kentucky. The City of Frankfort has separately advertised for a design-build team to design and construct the Transit Center and Parking Garage on Parcel B. The City has contracted with TRC Worldwide Engineering for technical support services on this project. The scope of work related to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) includes independent geotechnical and construction materials sampling and testing services. These services can include, but are not necessarily limited to, coordinating schedules with the design-build contractor and the City's technical support consultant, sampling and testing geotechnical materials, sampling and testing construction materials, and reporting the results to the City. The actual scope of work and fee shall be negotiated between the City of Frankfort and the selected Consultant after a qualifications-based selection (QBS). The qualifications will be reviewed by the Selection Committee and a consultant will be selected based on the criteria as described in the RFQ package. All respondents will be notified once a consultant has been selected to enter into a contract with the City of Frankfort.
