Project Number-045-002, 21042 The City of Pflugerville, Texas is soliciting bids for furnishing all labor, materials, tools and equipment and performing all work required for the "Gilleland Creek Bathhouse" project which consist of the demolition and replacement of the existing Gilleland Creek Park shower and locker room building and pool house. To preserve the functional efficiencies of the existing pool layout, the new locker room will be planned in approximately the same location as the existing bathhouse and will utilize the existing utility services in accordance with the civil engineering design. The location of the new bathhouse is in a floodplain area and will be elevated at 2'-6" above the pool deck elevation, per Atlas 14 standards, with ramps to accommodate the level change. The bathhouse exterior walls will also be watertight up to 4' above the 2' -6" elevated bathhouse level with the application of watertight baffles at any exterior openings. Add-Alternate 1 includes the construction of a new office/ticket building will be located near the parking lot area. The new office/ticket building is in a floodplain area and will be elevated at 2'-0" above the pool deck elevation, per Atlas 14 standards, with ramps and stairs to accommodate the level change and access to the building. The ticket/office exterior walls will also be watertight up to 4' above the 2'-0" elevated ticket/office level with the application of watertight baffles at any exterior openings. Base bid construction will include landscape and civil work which will have accessible connections to the existing parking area and pool deck and will be designed to resist flood loadings and to incorporate details and materials selected to minimize damage resulting from inundation. Project shall include design for the removal and replacement of the existing perimeter fence at the pool. Bids must be submitted on the Proposal and Bid Schedule forms provided and must be accompanied by a bid security in a penal sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid submittal. The security may be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond furnished by a reliable surety company having authority under the laws of Texas to write surety bonds in the amount required, with such security made payable without recourse to the City. The envelope containing the bid shall indicate clearly on the front that it is a bid for Gilleland Creek Bathhouse. The final Notice of Award of Contract shall be issued to the successful bidder by the City within sixty (60) days following the opening of bids and no bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after opening thereof. The successful Bidder must furnish a performance bond and payment bond on the forms provided, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, from a surety company authorized by the State of Texas to act as surety. The City of Pflugerville reserves the rights to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in bids received; to eliminate a portion of the work or add additional work as required to keep the total contract amount within the funds budgeted; to award any parts or combination of parts of the project it deems necessary; and any other rights established under the laws of the State of Texas.
