Note: Award Will Be Made to the Lowest Price Offeror Who Meets the Technical Requirements of the Solicitation and is Deemed Responsible by the Contracting Officer. The Intent is to Award Without Discussions. Note: This Procurement is 100% Total Set-aside for Small Business. For More Information See Far Clause 52.219-6 (Dev). Contractor shall provide all neccessary labor, equipment, and materials to do asphalt work located at Deer Creek Lake in Mt. Sterling, Ohio in accordance with the attached Statement of Work. SCOPE OF WORK - DEER CREEK LAKE ASPHALT PATCHING, SEALING, CRACK FILLING AND STRIPING 21897 DEER CREEK ROAD, MT. STERLING, OHIO 43143 740-869-2243 1. GENERAL The Contractor shall provide all, labor, equipment and supervision to perform asphalt patching, crack filling, sealing and striping in accordance with industry standards and this Scope of Work. Prior coordination with the Government Representative is required to minimize impacts to the project users and project personnel. The following work shall be performed: Fill cracks and apply two (2) coats of pavement sealer to the roadways in the Recreation Areas and to all asphalt located on the Project Areas to include the main access road, parking lots, and maintenance compounds outlined in the map attached. 2. CRACK FILLING REQUIREMENTS The contractor shall fill cracks prior to application of the pavement sealer. The contractor shall utilize cold or hot pour type filler that is compatible with the sealer that is used. The contractor shall remove vegetation and debris from cracks prior to application. 3. ASPHALT SEALING REQUIREMENTS Provide two coats of pavement sealer in areas to be sealed. SURFACE PREPARATION: The contractor shall clean existing pavement surfaces immediately prior to placing the seal coat by sweeping or flushing well with water or a combination of both. Contractor shall ensure that the surface is free of dust, dirt, grease, vegetation, oil, standing water or any type of objectionable surface film. APPLICATION: The contractor shall apply two seal coats at a consistent rate as recommended by the manufacturer. The finished surface shall present a uniform non-skid texture. The contractor shall ensure that the final coat be allowed to sufficiently dry (as recommended by the manufacturer) in good daylight drying conditions before opening to traffic, and initially cure enough to drive over without damage to the sealcoat. 4. STRIPING REQUIREMENTS The contractor shall re-stripe lines and symbols to existing patterns in all areas. The contractor shall ensure that all stripes and lines are straight. 'Wavy' and 'wandering' lines shall not be acceptable. Contractor shall use a quality striping paint recommended by the asphalt and pavement sealer manufacturer, minimize overspray of traffic paint and ensure that no vehicle or foot traffic comes in contact with painted surfaces until dried. 5.
