The project work site is located at 8 Brookwood Road in the Town of Halfmoon, New York. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including but not necessarily limited to the following: Removal of existing ductile iron piping, fittings, valves, vertical turbine pumps, concrete pump bases, and ancillary equipment. Installation of new ductile iron piping, fittings, valves, horizontal split-case pumps, concrete pump bases, and ancillary equipment. Installation of instrumentation devices. Installation of sodium hypochlorite chemical feed systems. Removal and replacement of existing variable frequency drives. Electrical work associated with the proposed pump replacements, variable frequency drive replacements, instrumentation devices, and chemical feed systems. Modifications to the existing plant supervisory control and data acquisition system to accommodate monitoring and control of new pumps, instrumentation devices, and chemical feed systems. The successful bidder will be required to furnish to the Town of Halfmoon an executed performance and completion bond in a form meeting the Town's approval, in an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid as security for the faithful performance and completion of this contract, and also a separate bond guaranteeing prompt payment of monies due to all persons supplying the contractors or subcontractors with labor and materials employed and used in carrying out the contract, and having as surety on the bonds such surety companies as are approved or acceptable to the Town of Halfmoon. The Town of Halfmoon reserves the right to reject any or all bids. All work shall be subject to equal opportunity in employment, State wage rates and all other requirements in accordance with applicable law.
