MTA Construction & Development (MTA C&D) is seeking to retain the services of one or more experienced General Engineering Consultants to develop, design and support the procurement of contracts for Design-Bid-Build (DBB) and Design-Build (DB) projects for MTA C&Ds NYCT Infrastructure Business Unit that are scheduled for award in 2023 and 2024. The Projects are arranged into five (5) programmatic disciplines. Certain projects have been bundled into groups for contract packaging purposes, while other Projects remain standalone. The Technical Scope of Services encompasses the following five (5) base Tasks and one (1) option Task: Scope Selection, Design/Definition, Bridging Documents for DB Projects, Final Design and Contract Documents for DBB Projects, Procurement Support and an option for Construction Phase Services for Awarded DBB Projects. The program will include at a minimum, the following practices areas: program management services, site planning and design, civil and utilities design, structural and geotechnical design, mechanical, electrical and plumbing design, communications, fire and life safety, passenger information systems, other systems, and systems integration, rail operations and designing for construction in active rail environments, constructability, phasing, and contract packaging, cost estimating and scheduling; and public and stakeholder outreach and engagement. The services of the Consultant shall be performed under the general direction of the designated MTA Representative. Contract Term: 16 months with an option of 3 years for Construction Phase Services for DBB projects. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
