Bid Comments: The City of Santa Clara ("City") is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide professional services.The selected proposer will be expected to deliver complete, high-quality services and products, and to consult and work with city staff and others who are involved with the project.Minimum requirements of firms and detailed description of required services are included in Attachment A, "Scope of Services". The requested engineering services involve preliminary engineering, detailed design, bidding and award support, and construction support. Improvements contemplated under this Project include the street repair, speed hump construction, and addition of bicycle lane and parallel parking along Bassett Street and Laurelwood Road. The street repair plans will require the assessment of the existing conditions, as the damage of some areas of Bassett Street are more severe than others. The City will provide a conceptual plan of the proposed bike lane locations, as well as the parallel parking areas which will require sections of Bassett Street to be widened. The requested services include preliminary engineering to assess the project locations and provide recommendations for the most suitable improvements to be constructed within the available project construction budget. This project is a recipient of grant funding for construction and the construction documents must comply with all state requirements. Funding for engineering services is provided by local funds.
