The undersigned hereby proposes to furnish to the Board of Water Works Trustees of the Des Moines Water Works, the ferric chloride (FeCl3) requirements for 2023. An estimated total of 4,063,248 pounds of 37% to 42% ferric chloride solution will be required in 2023. Approximately 3,062,448 pounds will be delivered to: Fleur Drive Treatment Plant 408 Fleur Drive Des Moines, IA 50321-1190 Truck deliveries to Fleur Drive will be weighed before and after product is delivered. Approximately 1,000,800 pounds will be delivered to: McMullen Plant 12223 SW Maffitt Lake Road Cumming, IA 50061 This ferric chloride will be used to enhance coagulation in the treatment of a municipal water supply that utilizes lime softening as a treatment process. The undersigned hereby states the ferric chloride to be supplied will meet, or exceed the latest revision of AWWA Standard B407 and the following specifications: Des Moines Water Works may verify the above physical and chemical properties of the liquid ferric chloride delivered to the Des Moines Water Works according to procedures outlined in Section 5 of the latest revision of AWWA Standard B407. After issuance of a purchase order by Des Moines Water Works, supplier shall submit an affidavit of compliance and certified analysis that the liquid ferric chloride to be furnished will meet or exceed the latest revision of AWWA Standard B407 and all requirements of this quotation. Suppliers shall provide their quote F.O.B. point of destination as listed above. The quoted price shall be firm for any quantity greater than or less than the estimated quantity until December 31, 2023. The Des Moines Water Works reserves the right to reject any or all quotations, to waive informalities in any quotation and to accept the quotation which it determines to be in the best interest of the Des Moines Water Works.
