The undersigned hereby proposes to furnish to the Board of Water Works Trustees of the Des Moines Water Works, the estimated requirement of antiscalant, of 55,044 pounds for the year 2023. This antiscalant will be used with the reverse osmosis membrane systems of the municipal water supply. The undersigned hereby states this product meets or exceeds the latest revision of AWWA Standard and is ANSI/NSF 60 approved for use in potable water. DMWW reserves the right to conduct any test/inspection it may deem advisable to assure goods and services conform to the specifications. Approximately 55,044 pounds will be delivered to: Saylorville Water Treatment Plant 6500 NW 26th Street Des Moines, IA 50313 Water Analysis: Parameter Mean Sodium (Na) 9.53 Potassium (K) 2.07 Calcium (Ca) 95 Calcium hardness 240 Magnesium (Mg) 31.72 Magnesium hardness As CaC03 131 Iron (Fe) 0.00 Manganese (Mn) 0.00 Barium (Ba) 0.20 Strontium (Sr) 0.20 Aluminum (Al) 0.00 Chloride (CI) 25 Sulfate (SO4) 80 Bicarbonate (ppm) 269 Nitrate as N 3.48 Nitrite as N 0.06 Bromide 0.06 Fluoride (F) 0.32 Phosphorus-O as P 0.19 Phenol Alkalinity 0.00 Total Alkalinity 269 Silica (SiO2) 20 Phosphate (PO4) 0.00 pH 8.10 The Des Moines Water Works reserves the right to reject any or all quotations, to waive informalities in any quotation and to accept the quotation which it determines to be in the best interest of the Des Moines Water Works.
