Renovation of a municipal facility in Medway, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Paint exterior House - remove Lead Paint , scrape and sand, 50 Winthrop St, Medway Call or email Bob McGee at bmcgee@townofmedway.org or 774-285-0439 with Questions and set up a on-site Meeting. Location and Work to be Done The Work consists of 50 Winthrop St - Painting and all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the Specifications and conceptual plans attached hereto in section 00900. Additional drawings showing details in accordance with which the Work is to be done may be furnished by addendum from time to time during the bidding period by the Town or its Architect/Engineer, and shall then become a part of the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, services, materials, equipment, plant, machinery, apparatus, appliances, tools, supplies, and all other things necessary to do all work required for the completion of each item of the Work and as herein specified. The Work to be done and paid for under any item shall not be limited to the exact extent mentioned or described but shall include all incidental work necessary or customarily done for the completion of that item. Project Architect or Engineer There is not a project architect-engineer for this project. Except as otherwise indicated in the Contract Documents, the Architect/Engineer shall be a representative of the Town and the Contractor shall direct all communications, questions and comments on the work and the performance thereof to the Town. In general, the Town shall have the authority to review the performance of the work, reject work which is defective or otherwise does No BID BOND, needed No Payment Bond needed. No Performance Bond needed. Scope of Work The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and insurance to perform all work required for the project known as the 50 Winthrop St - Painting. Project, in strict accordance with the Contract Documents and all related Drawings and Specifications. The said Documents, Specifications, Drawings and any supplemental general conditions are incorporated herein by reference and are made a part of this Agreement. SCOPE OF WORK: The scope of work under this contract shall consist of furnishing labor and material to Paint exterior house and stain Front Stairs/Ramp, This house exterior had a Positive Lead Test sample, so need to follow RRP guide lines, (Renovation, Repair, and Preparation). Need to use a Lead Certified company, to scrape, sand, prime and paint, The Body of House has Lead, The Window trim has No lead, (new windows in last 10 years), See Report. Work includes mobilization, performance of the work, clean-up, and demobilization. No Power washing house, Federal Law requires that contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based painted surfaces in homes built before 1978 to be certified and follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination. Contractors must have a licensed Massachusetts Lead-Safe Renovator to perform this painting project. All prospective bidders are encouraged to arrange and attend a site visit to clarify the actual scope of work to be done. Failure of a bidder to arrange and attend a site visit shall not constitute grounds for later claim against Town of Medway. 2. WORK AREA 2.1 Medway Community Farm, 50 Winthrop Street, Medway, MA. 2.2 Contractor shall ensure safe passage of the general public at all times at entrance doors. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to Bobby McGee, Department of Public Works, 45B Holliston Street, Door #9, Medway, MA 02053, or Email bmcgee@townofmedway.org and to be given consideration must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids. Any and all such interpretations and any supplemental instructions will be in the form of written addenda to the specifications which, when issued, will be e-mailed to all prospective bidders (at the respective address furnished by them for such purposes), Failure of any bidder to receive any such addendum or interpretation shall not relieve such bidder from any obligation under his bid as submitted. All addenda so issued shall become part of the Contract Document
