The City of Hillsboro ("City") seeks proposals from qualified and experienced firms to remove and replace the sand in the Spec Sand Filter located at the City's Cherry Grove Slow Sand Water Treatment Plant in Gaston, OR. The vendor will provide and deliver approximately 1,630 cubic yards of Spec Filter Sand for a filter at the plant premise located at 61605 SW Lee Falls Rd, Gaston, Oregon 97119. In addition to the vendor manufacturing and/or procuring the needed Spec Filter Sand, the project scope entails the selected vendor providing the following services: Removal of the existing sand currently in the filter. Old sand does not need to be hauled off-site; City staff will identify a site to place old sand on-premises. Deliver new sand to the project site. Truck and transfer trailer delivery is recommended, but "pup" dump trailers will not be allowed due to access issues. Off-load and place new sand in the filter with a conveyer or similar system as directed by City staff. Testing of the replacement sand as outlined in the solicitation. Deadline for Questions and Protest of Specifications: September 14, 2022 at 5:00 PM PST Project scope includes: o Vendor removal of the existing sand currently in the filter.
