Renovation of a municipal facility in Lafayette, Louisiana. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Lafayette City-Parish Consolidated Government, State of Louisiana, a political subdivision of the State of Louisiana ("LCG") solicits statements of qualifications ("Qualifications Statement") from qualified and licensed construction firms to provide comprehensive Construction Management at Risk ("CMAR") services for the Lafayette Parish Courthouse Upgrades (4th, 5th and 7th Floors) Project. The Project will include, but may not be limited to, the completion of asbestos abatement work for the 4th and 5th floors while utilizing the available space on 7th floor of the Lafayette Parish Courthouse. The Project will also include upgrades to ceilings, lights and A/C to the affected floors. Facilities and tenants on the 4th and 5th floors will have to be moved within the building to accommodate construction, building use, and safety. The contractor will be responsible for moving all facilities and support systems as needed for construction. The 7th floor is available for temporary relocations. Once the abatement and upgrades are complete on the 4th and 5th floors, the 7th floor will be permanently remodelled to meet current needs of the Court. All moves shall be coordinated with the Court's schedule and a large portion of the work may have to occur at night and/or on weekends. All of the foregoing is collectively referred to herein as the "Project". LCG's budget and opinion of probable cost for the construction work associated with the Project (CMAR Contractor pre-construction services, construction cost and equipment etc.) is approximately Five Million Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,600,000). Architectural and any other associated fees will be paid for outside the CMAR process. Qualifications Statements that have not been received in the required format and quantity by the aforementioned deadline date and time will be rejected. Additionally, failure to submit all of the information stipulated per Section VI of the RFQ, shall result in the submission being considered non-responsive and may result in the Qualifications Statement being rejected. Unless otherwise stated or required by the instructions, all attachments and/or embellishments other than those required in the RFQ shall be excluded. Prospective Contractors will be provided access to the site at a date to be specified at a later date. Interested contractors, their consultants, sub-consultants, or other parties representing the proposed team for this Project shall not attempt to directly contact and/or influence any member of the Selection Review Committee, Lafayette City or Parish Council members, Lafayette Mayor President, or other senior management associated with this Project, with the exception of the RFQ Coordinator, after receipt of this RFQ, and prior to contract award. Doing so will be grounds for disqualification. LCG reserves the right to reject any or all Qualifications Statements submitted in response to this RFQ. Respondents shall be licensed to perform the requested work under Building Construction.
