Site work for a mixed-use development in Cumberland, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The Board of County Commissioners of Allegany County, Maryland, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or waive technicalities and does not obligate itself to award the contract to the lowest bidder if, in its judgement, the best interests of Allegany County will not be served. Nedved Economic and Community Development Representative 701 Kelly Road Cumberland, Maryland 21502 301-876-9513 dnedved@alleganygov.org FURTHER CONTRACT DETAILS: This bid will be one lump sum to complete all items listed within the description of the project. The property is located approximately 0.75 miles south of the MDOT Motor Vehicle Administration along Winchester Road. To access the site, cross the existing concrete bridge over Winchester Run. Currently, 16 singlewide mobile homes are located on the property. Five (5) of the singlewide mobile homes are still occupied, Lots CC, OO, UU, BBB, and ZZZ. Except for CC, all of the occupied singlewide mobile homes will be relocated. This means 12 singlewide mobile homes, including the one at Lot CC, will need to be demolished. All residents will be moved from the property as of mid-September 2022. Work may begin even if the remaining four (4) mobile homes haven't been moved from the site, though existing roadways need to remain intact until all four (4) mobile homes have been transported off the property by others. All demolition materials and debris shall be transported to the Allegany County Landfill, located along Route 36 New Georges Creek Road. Landfill fees will be paid by the Allegany County Government. No Pre-Bid Meeting will be scheduled. All contractors have to be licensed in the State of Maryland and insured. All labor, supervision, tools, equipment, transportation, permits, fees, taxes, incidentals and materials necessary to perform the activity are to be included and provided by the contractor. It is the stated policy of the Allegany County Board of Commissioners to encourage Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation on the bid. Sealed bids for Garden City Mobile Home Park Partial Acquisition, consisting of the demolition of a total of 25 pad sites, 12 singlewide mobile homes, all associated out buildings, trash, debris on the property, coordination with local utility companies for disconnection/capping of existing taps, removal of all asphalt and stone roads/driveways/parking areas, and restoration of the property (minimal grading, seed and mulch) to complete the project in Allegany County
