Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Seguin, Texas. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a educational facility.
The 2022 Bond Proposition B calls for: Baseball and Softball Complex: Matador Baseball plays home games at Smokey Joe Field owned by the City of Seguin near the fairgrounds. A new baseball field on the Seguin High School campus would eliminate the need for players and coaches to travel across town to the City’s field. By pairing a new baseball field with a new softball field at Seguin High School, both sports could share common facilities at the complex, such as the ticket booth, restrooms and concession. As of March 2023, the project will be on a bond election vote in the spring of 2023. The bond vote failed in November 2022. A firm construction schedule has not been established.
