Site work, outdoor lighting and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Snellville, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field.

This work generally entails the construction of a new signature park pavilion, which will accommodate small bands and performances. This project is part of a much larger development, which is currently under construction, and will require close coordination with all on-site contractors. The project shall be Substantially Complete within six (6) months 180 calendar days from the date of notice to proceed. Liquidated damages of $150 per day will be assessed for each and every consecutive calendar day for which the completion of the project is delayed beyond the project schedule, except for quantifiable weather events. Bonding Requirements: 1. A 5% bid bond is required. 2. A Performance Bond (100%) and Labor & Material Payment Bond (110%) will be required on this project. Work to Be Performed: The pavilion is an open-air structure with a three-tiered roof. Work to be performed by the General Contractor consists of, but is not limited to, the following items: 1. Steel superstructure and framing. 2. Roof consisting of tongue and groove decking with composite cedar shake shingles. 3. Foundations including concrete footings with a concrete slab floor and concrete steps. 4. Pavilion lighting systems including both line and low voltage for spot lights, wall wash lights, stage lights and festoon lights with dimmer controls. 5. Power requirements including six outdoor GFCI quad outlets (twelve dedicated circuits). Supply power will be stubbed up by others. 6. Minor landscaping and site work. All questions regarding the bid documents shall be made via email to Matthew Pepper, Assistant City Manager at mpepper@snellville.org. The deadline to submit questions is no later than 2:00 PM EST, Wednesday, October 26, 2022. The City will post all "Responses to Questions and/or Addenda", if applicable, on the city web site by no later than 2:00 PM EST, Friday, October 28, 2022. It is incumbent that those submitting questions follow-up with the Assistant City Manager to ensure that questions were received.
