Site work and renovation of a municipal facility in West Covina, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The work consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as described in detail in the Bidding and Contract Documents, Plans and Specifications to construct the project. Major work components include remediation of an existing basin. The city retained a consultant to provide a comprehensive analysis of the existing detention basin to address the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board’s inspection report. Plans, Specifications, Documents: Electronic files of the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents are available for download on the City website at home Hard copy of the bid package will not be mailed. Bidder’s Guarantee: Each bid must be accompanied by cash or a certified check or a cashier's check or bidder's bond made payable to the City of West Covina for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total contract price. In accordance with Public Contract Code Section 20170, the Bidder’s Bond shall be issued by a surety company admitted to do business in the State of California. Engineer’s Construction Cost Estimate: $30,000.00 Schedule of Work: Total construction duration is ten (10) working days. See Section II. Instructions to Bidders, 13. “Construction Schedule, Progress of Work, Liquidated Damages” for project schedule. Labor and Materials, Performance and Warranty Bonds. Concurrently with execution of this Agreement, Contractor shall deliver to City: (1) a labor and materials bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum as security for the payment of all persons furnishing labor or materials in connection with the work, (2) a performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum as security for the faithful performance of this Agreement, and (3) a warranty bond in an amount equal to fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Sum to guarantee the work for a period of one (1) year following completion of the work, on the forms provided by the City. The bonds shall contain the original notarized signature of an authorized officer of the surety and affixed thereto shall be a certified and current copy of his/her power of attorney. The bonds shall be unconditional and remain in force during the entire term of the Agreement and shall be released or exonerated only if the Contractor promptly and faithfully performs all terms and conditions of this Agreement.
