Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in West Covina, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

5. CONTRACT PERIOD: The term of the agreement shall be for two (2) years, with an option to extend one (1) year. Restroom Upgrades: * Upgrade amenities such as water closets, urinals, hand dryers, and tissue dispensers to meet the latest ADA guidelines. * Implement necessary electrical and plumbing improvements. Conduct roof repairs to preserve the restroom's structural integrity. Asbestos abatement will be completed prior to implementation of these improvements. The consultant shall propose alternative options for the exterior surface of the restroom, in addition to paint or siding, for the City's review and consideration. Assess the feasibility of removing and replacing the existing water fountain attached to the restroom or investigate alternative modern options if necessary Snack Bar Demolition: Demolish the existing snack bar, including cutting and capping utilities according to City of West Covina regulations and current health standards. Potential Additional Improvements: * Painting of the dugout and sports booth to match the renovated restroom aesthetic. Lighting Improvements The city retained a consultant to provide pathway lighting requirements in accordance. with photogrammetry standards. The lighting improvement shall include: Pathway lighting electrical plans that align with the study. A copy of the study has been included in this RFP for your reference. The current basketball court requires replacing the existing lamps with new LED ones. Installation upward lighting for Park entrance. Bleacher Compliance Review Review the existing bleachers to determine if they meet current compliance standards. Prepare the necessary construction documents to ensure their compliance. Water Line and Sewer Lateral Improvements The project will include construction drawings for: Parks and Specification for the main water line within the park. Plans and Specifications for the relining the sewer lateral servicing the park. Parking Lot Improvements The consultant will evaluate the current parking lot and ramps for ADA compliance and prepare plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for any 4 necessary ADA elements, as well as resurfacing with slurry and restriping the parking lot. Investigate the feasibility of adding a second driveway north of the existing one along Sentous Ave. Construction Document Preparation: Construction documents must be prepared to allow certain elements to be advertised separately for construction due to varied funding sources. The consultant will coordinate with staff during the kickoff meeting to identify design components and specifications that require separate advertisement. This project will be funded by CDB
