Local contractors are encouraged to submit proposals. Contractors are encouraged to offer bidding opportunities to local subcontractors. The Torry Island Seawall Pedestrian Handrail Improvements project includes the design, fabrication and installation of approximately 760-LF of aluminum pedestrian railing system as per FDOT specifications and ADA requirements. The 48-inch tall railing system shall be installed 6-inch offset from face of concrete seawall cap and include 3/4-inch round or square pickets. Railing can either be prefabricated in welded sections or assembled in the field using railing components and set screws. Pre-approved material vendors for this project are: 1. GatorDock(R) Marine Access Solutions (Thomas Addoms, Regional Sales Manager at 727-295- 7339), 2. Bridge Brothers, Inc. (Aaron Gentilucci at 866-258-3401), or approved equal.
