Due to mature, dense vegetation and trees, Dam D-01 (comprising part of the Griffith Mine TMA) is not entirely accessible for a comprehensive inspection. The Ministry of Mines requires the services of a contractor to clear and brush the trees and vegetation from the dams (close-cut clearing) in order to provide unrestricted access to the entire dam and facilitate a future visual inspection of the dam structures. Scope of Work Mobilization Obtaining all required permits for the Work that are not obtained by the Ministry Upgrading of access roads as necessary for construction access; Clearing and grubbing of lands comprising the dam site, staging areas and work areas; Placement, installation and ongoing maintenance of environmental protection measures including sediment controls; Close-cut clearing of all standing trees, stumps, brush, bushes, and other vegetation at original ground level and the removal of felled materials and windfalls Disposal of non vegetation waste material and demolition products off-site; Provision of daily and weekly progress reports to the Ministry's project manager; Providing security as required Site restoration including erosion-proofing of banks and stabilization of all soils exposed during construction; Restoration of portions of Access Roads used during construction, and; Demobilization. One (1) year contract with option to extend for up to two (2) additional terms of six-months Any questions related to the Deliverables will be answered during the mandatory site visit.
