Contractor shall verify the dimensions of the new security screen door prior to ordering. The new security screen door and hardware shall comply with California and/or Local Building Codes specifications. Contractor shall furnish and install new "Unique Home Design - Arcada" (or approved equal) code complying, pre-hung, tamper resistant, out-swing door, heavy-duty welded steel framed construction, with reinforced pickets and perforated metal screens, protective powder coat finish and "Jimmy Resistant" double lock box security screen door. Contractor shall provide the City's Project Manager with an allowance NOT TO EXCEED $210.00 for the new security screen door. The City's Project Manager shall select and approve the new security screen door from samples provided by the contractor prior to installation. To be installed in accordance with California and/or Local Building Codes and manufacturer's specifications. Contractor shall furnish and install a new "Kwikset - Tylo" (or approved equal) code complying, satin chrome finish, exterior grade, entry door knob and single cylinder deadbolt combo door lock, keyed entry on the exterior, lever on the interior. Contractor shall provide the City's Project Manager with an allowance NOT TO EXCEED $35.00 for the new door lock. The City's Project Manager shall select and approve the new door locks from samples provided by the contractor prior to installation. To be installed in compliance with manufacturer's specifications. Contractor shall repair any damaged surfaces caused to the existing walls as a result of the new security screen door installation to match the existing surface conditions. All surfaces shall be left in a completed state, to include patching and priming. If existing trim work exists, contractor shall replace all trim work and finish such to match existing surface conditions. NOTE: The contractor shall furnish at the time of bid submittal, the list of proposed desired substitutions for security screen door and door lock manufacturers that the contractor deems equivalent to "Unique Home Design" security screen door and "Kwikset" door locks.
