Contractors are hereby notified that they shall be properly licensed under the state laws governing their trades. The extent of the work is shown on the drawings and specified in the project manual. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bind bond in an amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the proposal and executed in accordance with and conditioned as prescribed by GS 143-129, State of North Carolina. If the successful bidder fails to give satisfactory surety as required by law, the Owner will retain the above deposit. Company checks will not be accepted.
