Trail 319 Reconstruction Palouse Ranger District Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests 0001 Trail 319 Reconstruction Delivery: 07/15/2023 SCOPE OF CONTRACT Reconstruction of NFST #319, Strychnine Ridge Trail, from damage sustained from timber harvest operations. Approximately 9,550 feet of the Strychnine Ridge Trail was damaged during logging operations in Unit 9 of the Greenhorn Stewardship timber sale. Damage to the trail along the 9,550 feet varies from minimal to completely obliterated. This project is for the reconstruction/repair of Forest Trail 319 (Strychnine Ridge Trail) to trail standard specifications. The work includes road recontouring, trail construction, trail clearing and trail drainage dip construction. This project shall occur after timber harvest has been completed in this area for the Greenhorn Timber Sale. Work to be performed by the Contractor: 1. Reconstruct approximately 9,550 feet of OHV Trail # 319 to trail standards and typical section following flagged line. 2. Reconstruct approximately 26 drainage dips with 10-foot long lead off ditches. As staked on the ground. Note: Trail route will be flagged by the government and drainage dips will be staked on ground by the government. Government staking will occur within 30 days of the recreation department being notified of work. If the acceptance of work is between the dates of October 1st and April 1st the staking will occur when trail becomes accessible and trail work is expected to be completed that field season. C.2 PROJECT LOCATON This project is located in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest near National Forest System Road 1427/Trail 319. Access to the site will be from the south on the Strychnine Road (1427). The trail is located in Section 16, T42N, R2W, Latah County, Idaho. C.3 MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Less than $25,000 C.4 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS See Section J for listing of drawings and specifications that are incorporated into this solicitation. C.5 SCHEDULE All work to be completed by 15 July 2023. PACKING AND MARKING All shipments of materials, equipment and/or supplies shall be addressed to the Contractor and not to the Government. D-2 PROJECT LABELING FOR OFFICIAL CORRESPONDENCE The Government singularly identifies each project with a contract number at time of award. The contract number is a unique identifier to purposely and permanently represent an awarded project. The Government issued contract number is to be referenced on all official communication starting upon notice of award. Commencement, Prosecution, and Completion of Work (APR 1984) The Contractor shall be required to (a) commence work under this contract within _10 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than 45 days.
