City of Tallahassee Headworks - 4505 Springhill Road Scope The City of Tallahassee is seeking a qualified contractor interested in providing Construction, Commissioning and Start Up Services for the Headworks Equipment, Repair & Influent Piping Improvements project at the Thomas P. Smith Water Reclamation Facility, located at 4505 Springhill Rd., Tallahassee, FL, as outlined in these bidding documents. Work to be performed under this Contract includes all labor, equipment and materials required to deliver a complete and operable system. The project includes, but is not limited to, installation of an automated centerflow band screen with washer/compactor, grit removal equipment, repairs to existing grit collection equipment, structural improvements, new slide gates, concrete repair, coating of interior channels/basins, bypass pumping and temporary piping for full Headworks bypass, influent piping modifications, electrical and instrumentation work, programming and integration of new equipment and SCADA, training plant personnel on operation and maintenance of equipment and other items not specifically covered under separate pay quantities. Subcontract includes all manufacturers' service of equipment and materials provided under this subcontract. 09. Subcontractor shall include all unloading and hoisting of equipment and materials provided under this Subcontract, or by the Owner if applicable. 10. Subcontractor shall use job site waste disposal containers provided by PSCC. All waste shall be nonhazardous and placed in the proper container, should different types of job site waste require different containers. Subcontractor will remove debris daily and provide a "broom clean" work area prior to leaving the job site each day. Waste shall be strictly limited to general waste; not demolished or excess material such as concrete, asphalt, utilities, etc. 11. Subcontractor shall use sanitary facilities provided by PSCC. 12. Subcontractor responsible for all saw cutting, core drilling and concrete patching required to accomplish the work of this subcontract. 13. Subcontractor shall furnish and install all sleeves through work of other Subcontractors, or PSCC, as required to accomplish the work of this subcontract. 14.
