Village of Illiopolis 302 5th Street Illiopolis, IL 62539 Sealed bids for the Illiopolis Sidewalk Repair project will be received by the Village of Illiopolis, 302 5th Street, Illiopolis, IL. Description of the Project is as follows: The work on this project consists of construction/reconstruction of sidewalks and two accessible ramps at various locations throughout the village. Attention is called to the fact that only bid proposals that cover ALL the WORK will be accepted and read aloud. Partial bids will not be accepted. Attention is called to the fact that this project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Law. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Furthermore, this contract is available to minority and women contractors. Bidders shall actively solicit minority and women subcontractors and shall maintain records of their solicitation process. Attention is called to the fact that this project is subject to the Public Construction Bond Act, 30 ILCS 550/1, and the successful bidder shall be required to provide a performance and payment bond in the amount of the contract in such form and manner as required by that Act. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Village of Illiopolis, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable Surety in an amount equal to Ten Percent (10%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid for each Contract. The Village reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids, any or all bid items, or to waive any informalities in the bidding, and/or award process. Bids may be held by the Village for a period of 30 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding the Contract.
