The City is in need of a Parks and Recreation Master Plan (P&RMP) update as a necessary tool to move forward with an organized and collaborative approach to addressing the current and future recreation programs and park facilities needs of the City. The City seeks a P&RMP that is concise, user-friendly and creates a roadmap for ensuring an appropriate balance of facilities, amenities, and programs throughout the community, now and into the future. The P&RMP will create a clear set of goals, objectives, priorities, and implementation measures for the development, enhancement, maintenance and operation of the City's parks and recreational facilities and programs for the next fifteen years or more. The P&RMP will require review by the Parks and Recreation Committee (PRC), Measure "S" Committee, the Planning Commission, and ultimately approval by the City Council.
