On Call One (1) consultant will be selected to witness testing and perform inspection of structural steel and prestressed concrete structural members being fabricated in plants located inside and out of the State of Indiana in accordance with the Standard Specifications, AASHTO/AWS D1.5 Bridge Welding Code, the General Instructions to Field Employees, Manual of Instructions for Structural Steel Shop Inspection, and Manual of Instructions for Precast Prestressed Concrete Inspection. The selected consultant shall submit the following: Minutes from pre-fabrication meetings (1 week after meeting date) Copies of weekly inspection reports (2-3 business days after week ending date) Final fabrication reports (1 week after final inspection date) In addition to witnessing testing and performing inspection services, the Department may call upon the consultant to advise on updating the following reference material to current industry standards: Standard Specifications General Instructions to Field Employees Manual of Instructions for Structural Steel Shop Inspection Manual of Instructions for Precast Prestressed Concrete Inspection. All On-Call contracts are on an as-needed basis and there is a possibility that no assignments will be made. The selected consultant's fee proposal shall be due 15 calendar days after the selection date for this RFP item. This contract will utilize INDOT's E-Invoice application.
