The Town of Cumberland acting through its Director of Public Works, Joseph Duarte and the Water Department Superintendent, Romeo Mendes and in accordance with the provisions of Rhode Island General Law Chapter 45-55, Award of Municipal Contracts, section 45-55-5 Competitive sealed bidding, inclusive, seeks proposals from qualified firms to inspect, remove sediment from the Fisher 600,000 gallon water storage tank and inspect, remove sediment, furnish and install submersible active mixing systems in the Coppermine 3-million-gallon, Highland Park 3-million-gallon, Palomino 3-million-gallon, and the Thompson 600,000 gallon water storage tanks while in service. Questions regarding this request should be expressed in writing and directed to Mr. Romeo Mendes, Cumberland Water Department Superintendent at rmendes@cumberlandri.org. The Town of Cumberland reserves the right to waive any irregularities, reject any or all proposals, and to accept the proposal either wholly or in part, that is in the best interest of the Cumberland Water Department. Failure to submit all information called for may be sufficient grounds for disqualification. A site visit is not mandatory but may be scheduled through Romeo Mendes.
